Enjoy Our Alaska Travel And Tour Pictures Below!! We flew into Anchorage and picked up our rental car and began the time of our lives. We then drove from Anchorage to our mountaineering and flightseeing activities within Denali Nat'l Park. On the way to Denali, we visited the The Musk Ox Farm, located just outside of Palmer, Alaska (a scenic 50-minute drive from downtown Anchorage). The farm is home to a unique domestication project which began in 1954. The Musk Ox Farm is an ideal place to observe and photograph these animals at close range. On the tour you'll learn about the history of the musk ox, a prehistoric remnant of the last great Ice Age, and how it has been domesticated on the farm. You'll see cows, powerful bulls, and tame yearlings. The Musk Ox Project promotes the use of qiviut (the fine under-wool of the musk ox) as the basis of an Arctic native textile industry, which provides an economic supplement to subsistence communities throughout Alaska. At Denali, we enjoyed the wildlife in the shadows of North Americas highest mountain - 20.230 ft. Mt.Mc.Kinley. If you go there; watch for Grizzly Bears, Moose, Caribou, Wolf and Dall Sheep along the ridges and river beds or observe one of the 150 different bird species which inherit the park area. Also join with us as we take a flight to the top of Mt. McKinley. It almost became the last flight we would ever take! Boy, was it exciting! We would do it again! Near Wasilla, be sure to visit the headquarters for the Iditarod. There you can have a ride on a real dog sled! We continued to Fairbanks which enjoys almost 24 hours of daylight during the summer months. From Fairbanks we explored the sights of the former gold rush capital of Alaska. We visited the historic Gold Dredge # 8 which recovered 7.5 Million ounces of this precious metal. We went bacjk to Fairbanks and went on to SEWARD to take a day long wildlife and glacier cruise on one of the many Kenai Fjord tour boats. The sights are dominated by the 300 square mile Harding Icefield, Watch for Steller Sea Lions, Whales, Dolphins, Bald Eagles, Harbor Seals and a variety of shore birds which inhabit or migrate throughout the area. After returning from the cruise you may wish to spend some time at the Alaska SeaLife Center, the worlds first cold water marine search institute with wildlife rehabilitation and public education facilities. Scenic drive along Turnagain Arm to Anchorage and our flight home. Below are a few sample pictures of what we will show on our tour of Alaska. There are many pages of pictures, just follow the links below. ENJOY!

The Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (IATA: ANC, ICAO: PANC, FAA LID: ANC)[2] is the major airport in the state of Alaska located 4 nautical miles (7 km) southwest of downtown Anchorage. Fairbanks and Juneau are the next busiest airports. Anchorage traffic peaks during June, July and August when passenger numbers are twice as high as between October and April. Some of the most popular destinations in Alaska are: Anchorage, Denali Park, Fairbanks, Seward, and Talkeetna. We have placed links to Priceline.com on this page so you can arrange your flights into and out of the various places in Alaska; as well as hotels, and rental 4 wheel drive vehicles; when visiting this beautiful State. Priceline.com can also arrange very nice Alaska Cruises; which we highly recommend. Cruises are usually taken during the warm late spring through early fall seasons, due to the freezing temperatures of the winter.
