Wild Cucumber.

A perennial vine, the star-shaped flowers are about 3/8 inches wide and are followed by round, spiny, green goards about 2 inches in diameter. This plant has a very large underground tuber.

Height: The vine is between 3'-8' tall and about 10 feet wide.
Shape: It has a very large taproot; hence its common name!
Flowers: The white to green - white star-shaped flowers are about 3/8 inches in diameter.
Flowering Time: March to April.
Leaves: The leaves are trifoliate, alternate, elongated, and end in a tiny hair-like point.
