Quick Notes:
Height: Up to About 2 feet tall.
Flowers: Tiny 1/4 to 3/8 inch pea - like flowers with purple upper petals and yellowish-white lower petals arranged into small delicate spikes. Flowers can easily be overlooked.
Flowering Time: April - May in Arizona.
Fruit: A single legume, hard, smooth seed.
Leaves: The grayish green leaves are pinately compound, with an odd number of about 5 to 13 leaflets, leaflets opposite, about 1 inch long.
Found: Found in southwestern Arizona, California, and Sonora Mexico.
