An evergreen perennial, fast growing, with a 3 to 6 feet spread.

It forms numerous long, trailing, ground-covering stems from a woody base. It also forms roots at the nodes of long, trailing stems to form a tight, low mounding colony with evergreen gray-green compound leaves and spikes of small lavender to purple flowers in the early spring through the summer.

Gregg dalea's low height and small, silvery, blue-green leaves make it an attractive, easily established, low-maintenance groundcover for dry and arid sites.

Gregg dalea does not respond well to fertilizer and overwatering, especially in winter, although in our hottest summer weather supplemental water will help keep the foliage full.
