This means you will have to walk a little to get to the downtown but you will have a lot less noise. It is located next to a Wong supermarket and the rooms have a very good refrigerator, which saves on the cost of room service. The staff is very friendly and helpfull although most do not speak english. It is easy to catch a cab right outside to any destination. There is free wifi in all of the rooms and it is reasonably fast. The rooms are spacious and have air conditioning which works well. Each has a small in room safe, Breakfast is nice and is included. Direct Dial phones in each room, TV with cable as well. The hotel has a pool with lounge chairs. A small gift shop. Restaurant on site, guard at the door and it appears quite safe. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance. We recommend Norkey's for fast food of very good Peruvian taste and the prices are excellent. They even have inexpensive cocktails. Half as cheap as elsewhere for tourists.

Trujillo airport has connections to Lima, Chiclayo, Cajamarca, Tumbes, & Chagual for Huamachuco. It offers three airlines with daily flights from Lima to Trujillo; LanPeru, Star Peru, and WayraPeru. We would suggest flying to Lima and then to Trujillo. Then you can get a taxi to downtown Trujillo for as little as about S/15 ($4.95/£2.55) if you bargain with the driver. Most drivers start by asking about S/20 ($6.60/£3.40). There are several Guided Tour Agencies offering standard city and archaeological tours of the area. ie.. Guía Tours, Chacón Tours, Consorcio Turístico del Norte, and Trujillo Tours. Most standard tours cost about S/45 to S/60 ($15-$20/£7.65-£10) per person. Booking ahead of time, with Magical Cusco Tours can take all of the worry and strain away from you, so we would highly recommend their services. They can arrange your stay at this hotel while in Trujillo.
