Fleabane.
We wish to thank Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia for some of the information on this page. We share images and information with Wikipedia. A biennial herb with hairy leaves and stems each with a solitary flower head with narrow white or pink or lavender rays. It is native to the Great Basin, Mojave, and Sonoran deserts.
Quick Notes:
Height: About 18 inches. Spreading out to about 2 foot wide.
Flowers: The flower rays are very narrow and white to violet in color. The disk flowers in the center are yellow.
Flowering Time: February to October. It is influenced by the winter rains and summer monsoons in Arizona.
Leaves: The upper leaves are simple, smooth-edged, and narrow, the lower leaves are pinnately compound. The leaves and stems are covered with hairs.
Found: Native of the USA in the states of: (AZ, CA, CO, ID, KS, MT, ND, NE, NM, NV, OK, OR, SD, TX, UT, WA, WY), Native of CAN in the states of: (AB, BC). Native to Sonora in Mexico.

Habitat: Rocky slopes and mesas and open pinion - pine, shrub oak woodlands. Dry places, common on roadsides.
