Goldwater Lake is a reservoir formed by a dam on Goldwater Creek, located south of Prescott in North Central Arizona. This lake is maintained by the City of Prescott Parks and Recreation department. The park has facilities for picnicking, fishing, boating, hiking, volleyball, and horseshoes.

Goldwater Lake is a beautiful lake nestled within the pines. It's a small lake of about 15 acres in size.

Goldwater Lake is named after Morris Goldwater, a past Mayor of Prescott, Arizona and the nephew of Barry Goldwater.

Recreation at the lake includes boating, fishing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing and picnicking.

The only boats permitted are those powered by electric motors, as well as, kayaks, and canoes. Kayak and canoe rentals are provided by Prescott Outdoors. Their phone is (928) 925-8858.

Largemouth bass, crappie, channel catfish, bluegill and sunfish occupy the lake.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department stocks the lake with rainbow trout every few weeks during the summer months.

A very easy hiking trail rings around Goldwater Lake and it also connects with some of the other trails in the Prescott National Forest.

There are also picnic tables, grills, restrooms, a boat ramp, & a playground for children available. Volleyball courts and horseshoe pits are also available.

Handicapped access picnic sites are available.
