Our father, George Noel DeLange Sr. had not been to Hawaii since WW II, when he served on a battleship that sailed all over the Pacific right after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The ship would change its Identification Numbers, Colors, & Flags; to give the impression that many ships were in the Pacific Area. This was done to give the impression that the Japanese were outnumbered in the Pacific, until the United States could build ships to fill the void. Later on, George Noel DeLange Sr. served on a small aircraft carrier, with an outstanding battle record. They even frightened off the entire Japanese fleet, in one 15 minute battle! The Japanese Fleet struck the USS Cabot, which was being used as, "bait!" The Japanese attacked with 70 fighter planes; against the Cabots' eight pilots, of the famed, "Meat Axe Squadron." In less than 15 minutes, 27 enemy planes had been shot down, at no loss to the "Meat Axe Squadron." Three of the Cabots' pilots qualified as ace during this one major action. Bitten by the "bait" the Japanese Fleet ran for cover! Here is a link to the USS Cabot, if you wish to see her and some of her battles. Some of the photos are graphic. She, and her crews was so strong, that she was called; "The Iron Woman." So, with that background, our father decided to show us Hawaii! We begin our journey to Hawaii by flying out of Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, Arizona. The date was August 1986. Yes, the photos look a little old, but they are all we have! Enjoy Our Tour!

The Honolulu International Airport (IATA: HNL, ICAO: PHNL, FAA LID: HNL) is the principal aviation gateway of the City & County of Honolulu and the State of Hawaii. It also is one of the busiest airports in the United States. It is located in the Honolulu area, three miles northwest of Oahu's central business district. The two main roads leading to the airport are the Nimitz Highway and the Queen Liliuokalani Freeway of the Interstate H - 1. The Honolulu International Airport serves as the principal hub of Hawaiian Airlines, the largest Hawaii-based airline, which offers flights between the various other airports of the Hawaiian Islands and it also serves the continental United States, Australia, Samoa, Tahiti and the Philippines. The State Of Hawaii Department Of Transportation also operates airports on the various Hawaiian Islands. There are many hotels in the Hawaiian Islands. There are several Guided Tour Agencies offering standard island, scenic, and historical tours of the Hawaiian Islands. After arranging your flight we would suggest getting your hotel and then letting them arrange tours of the area for you. If you call the hotels Concierge Services ahead of your arrival, all of this can be pre-arranged for you. We do this all the time. It is safe and it works!!! I have never experienced a problem doing it this way! We have links to Priceline.Com on our page so that you can arrange your flights and hotels in the Hawaiian Islands.
Special Note - To Arrange Tours:

In most cases when you are at an attraction, you will be escourted to the front of the line, and be given special treatment. It is viator.com. They can do all of the work for you and get you into some awesome tours of the various attractions. There are links to viator.com on this page where you can arrange many special tours in Hawaii. When you click on the links, you will find inexpensive tours of the "must see or do," sites in Hawaii. From my own experience, these are far less expensive, than what I have paid, in the past, to see the same sites!
