Trujillo airport has connections to Lima, Chiclayo, Cajamarca, Tumbes, & Chagual for Huamachuco. It offers three airlines with daily flights from Lima to Trujillo; LanPeru, Star Peru, and WayraPeru. We would suggest flying to Lima and then to Trujillo. Then you can get a taxi to downtown Trujillo for as little as about S/15 ($4.95/£2.55) if you bargain with the driver. Most drivers start by asking about S/20 ($6.60/£3.40). There are several Guided Tour Agencies offering standard city and archaeological tours of the area. ie.. Guía Tours, Chacón Tours, Consorcio Turístico del Norte, and Trujillo Tours. Most standard tours cost about S/45 to S/60 ($15-$20/£7.65-£10) per person.
