Lotus rigidus, is a perennial herbaceous plant growing to 36 inches tall. The leaves are irregularly pinnate or palmate with 3-5 leaflets, up to 1 inch long. The flowers are yellow, turning red or purple as they age.

Found: Native to the Mojave & Sonora Deserts in the Southwestern United States and northwest Mexico.
