Height: About 6 - 16 inches. Spreading out to about 26 inches wide.
Flowers: Older flowers are yellow color, in clusters of 1 - 3, younger flowers are tinged red or orange and a orange red backed banner petal.
Flowering Time: April to June.
Leaves: Leaves are pinnately compound, with 4 - 5 leaflets, each up to 1/4 inches long, grayish green.
Found: Native throughout the American Southwest and the Sonoran deserts of Arizona and Mexico.
