Height: About 2 1/2 feet in height.
Flowers: Pale violet flowers.
Stalk: Several erect, sparsely leaved stems. When the plant is not flowering, there are no stems.
Fruit: Pods are hairy and eventually develop a fine, pointed tip.
Flowering Time: June to October. After early summer rains and monsoon rains.
Leaves: Linear to lance-shaped, green to blue leaves. Opposite. Entire. Up to 5" long. They form a basal rosette until the plant flowers.
Found: Native to the USA (AZ, CO, NM, NV, UT). Found in Arizona, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties.

Elevation: 6,000 - 7,500 Feet. It has been reported to grow at elevations up to 12,000 feet.
