Quick Notes:
Height: A creeping purple herb, about 16 inches long.
Flowers: The � inch pale purple flowers bloom at the ends of large stems.
Flowering Time: June - November.
Leaves: The lance shaped leaves reach 7 inches long by 1 inch wide and are covered with pale hairs.
Found: Native to the USA, and the Gulf Coast region of eastern Mexico, from Tamaulipas, to Veracruz, to Tabasco & Chiapas, then into Campeche. They are not native to the Yucat�n. The USDA claims it is native of the USA (FL, LA), USA+ (PR).
Hardiness: While we do not recommend growing this plant where it is any colder than Zone 9a. We have read good reviews from Belmont, Mass. zone 6b, and Otterville, ON (Zone 5b).

Elevation: 0 to 2,900 feet In Arizona. In its native habitats, the average altitude is 3,937 feet. This number considers the areas of land at sea level to the highest mountain peaks.
Habitat: Well drained soil is preferred. A Xeriscape Landscape plant.
