An evergreen, dioecious shrub, spreading to round in shape. About 5 to 8 feet tall, it can reach a 4 to 8 feet spread. It's leaves are simple, alternate, pubescent, round to somewhat triangular, with a pale gray green color, up to 2 1/2 inches long an 1/4 inch wide. Survives in salty soil.
