Triangleleaf Bursage.
We wish to thank Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia for some of the information on this page. We share images and information with Wikipedia. A sprawling shrub up to 3 1/2 feet tall. With red - brown bark becoming smooth and shiny. The stems are red - brown with white a pubescence, stout, brittle, with narrow leaf scars. The leaves are alternate, simple, evergreen, and triangular shaped, they are coarse serrate or toothed, green above and below but covered in a pale pubescence, they are drought deciduous. The flowers are a dull yellow-green, in small clusters borne on a spike, and present in late winter to early spring.

Height: Up To About 40" Tall. Same spread.
Flowers: Yellow - green, 5 large yellow petals about 1/2 inch long, with red - brown veins, 10 stamens with large orange anthers.
Flowering Time: Mid February - October.
Fruit: Slightly curved pods, 3/4 to 1 1/3 inches long, are tipped by a stiff point about 1/8 inch long.
Leaves: Dull green pinnate leaves with 2 to 3 pairs of elliptical leaflets.
Found: The USDA claims that Ambrosia deltoidea is native to the USA (AZ). In Arizona it is native to Yuma, Maricopa, Gila, Pinal, & Pima counties. In Mexico it is native to the states of Baja Norte, & Sonora. Found throughout lower elevations in Arizona.

Habitat: On roadsides, sandy plains, rocky sides of stream beds, and mesas, in deserts and arid grasslands. Well drained soil is preferred.
