A low evergreen shrub or vine, 3 to 10 feet tall with oblong lanceolate leaves. This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds. Drought-tolerant; suitable for xeriscaping.

Height: Up to about 3 - 10 feet tall, spread 3 to 9 feet.
Flowers: White flowers, tubular, up to 1 inch wide, and have 5 square-tipped lobes..
Blooming Time: February - May. Throughout the summer, but very profuse during the monsoon rain period of late summer.
Seeds: Olive shaped, but unedible, yellow-green fruit, 1 inch long. With one to four large seeds.
Leaves: Oblong lanceolate, green.
Found: The USDA claims it is native of the USA (AZ, FL, TX), USA+ (PR, VI). In arizona it is native to Maricope, Pinal, & Pima counties. Also native throughout Mexico; & South America and the Caribbean.
Elevation: Native from 2,500 to 4,000 feet.
