Paleleaf Yucca, sometimes called Pale yucca, is a species of yucca with tall stout stems and a terminal cluster of white flowers. It is notable for its light-colored leaves that are a pale blue-gray to sage-green in color. Its rosettes average 8 - 24 inches tall and 12 - 28 inches in diameter, with leaves 6 - 16 inches long and about 1 inch wide, being widest around the midpoint. The rosettes sit directly on the ground, with little or no trunk. The leaves have a yellow to brown terminal spine, and are generally flat, possibly with some waviness or rolling along the edges. The inflorescence (inflorescence: The flowering part of a plant or arrangement of flowers on a stalk) is a panicle (panicle: Compound raceme or branched cluster of flowers) , 3 - 7 feet tall, with up to about 100 bell-shaped flowers, each about 2 - 3 inches long, with their color ranging from light greenish white to cream.

Leaves: The leaves are pale blue-green, or grayish green, 1 inch wide, 6 to 18 inches long. It has finely serrated yellowish leaf margins.
Found: Native to North Central Texas, extending into the Edwards Plateau, growing on rocky soil and outcrops of the Blackland Prairies and the Grand Prairie. The USDA claims it is native to the USA (TX).
Hardiness: Said to be hardy at Zone 7 or to 0�F. We doubt that in Arizona.
