This is a Pre-Columbian surface and underground Salt-Clay-Gypsum mine that is located about 2 miles West of Camp Verde, SE of Clarkdale, on the West side of the Verde River. This mine was also worked from the 1920's to 1933. Even though people are not supposed to collect minerals from this site, some people still find nice minerals and collect mineral specimans at the site.
