Travels Or Tours Pictures And Photos Of Page Springs Arizona Fish Hatchery.

Page Springs Fish Hatchery is located on scenic Oak Creek five miles north of Cornville in Yavapai County. The Bubbling Ponds Fish Hatchery is located less than mile north. Both hatcheries are a quick drive from either Cottonwood or Sedona.

The Page Springs Fish Hatchery is located on Page Springs Road just south of where it crosses Oak Creek. Page Springs Road is located west of I-17, between State Route 89 and Cornville Road.

Rainbow trout are the main fish species raised at the Page Springs Fish Hatchery. A small number of brown trout are also produced.

The Page Springs Fish Hatchery is 82 acres in size making it Arizona's largest coldwater fish production facility, producing about 700,000 trout a year. It also includes a smaller warm water fish hatchery called Bubbling Ponds. At Bubbling Ponds Hatchery, sportfish include largemouth bass, bluegill, and walleye. Native fish raised include the Colorado pike minnow and razorback sucker.

The Page Springs Fish Hatchery includes an interpretive center and a self-guided fish hatchery tour, finishing at the show ponds. The hatchery is accessible to the disabled. The hatchery is open 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., seven days a week (except it is closed Thanksgiving and Christmas).

A recently completed nature trail, with signs describing riparian habitat and wildlife, wanders through the hatchery grounds and along Oak Creek.

The Page Springs Fish Hatchery has been operated as an aquaculture facility since 1938.

We have enjoyed touring the facility since 1940.
